The staff was unfriendly. Given the prices they charge, they should provide samples.

And Royce priced a hundred times more. Why? Because Royce is selling taste of the chocolate and the service from the salesman. This is the same concept as of when you walk into the Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Chanel stores. That's how Royce chocolate differentiate from the $1 chocolate.
If you've never tried Royce chocolates , you are missing out! The first time I've tried these premium chocolates were from a gift from a family member who went to Japan on vacation. The little boutique in the mitsuwa supermarket is no-nonsense! The store is closed off except for the front section guarded by 3 employees! They give you a catalog to choose what you want. Once you pay, they go to the back to retrieve your treat. The chocolates are refrigerated and premium wrapped in those cooler aluminum packaging. You are supposed to refrigerate these until you eat them. The chocolates are arguably the best I've had from anywhere (and I've had chocolates in Belgium! The little delicacies melt in your mouth and is ever so creamy without being overly sweet. The price tag is hefty ; $18 for a small box.
