We came here with friends for an impromptu catch up. Having been for drinks, we had not been for dinner before and were surprised by the menu. I opted for the chorizo and bean stew to start with, and my husband the beef in tomato...sauce. We followed this with mixed grill(him) and souvlaki for me. Group of six of us, very quirky place, service friendly but a bit slow however the food was mostly enjoyable.
Having been seriously disappointed in a neighboring hotel I moved ‘next door’ to Forty One. Best decision I made. Staff are fantastic, rooms are comfortable and well equipped and everything works! I ate dinner in the restaurant and that was excellent. If you are staying...in this area this is the only place to be!

We went to this restaurant with friends for a spontaneous get-together. We had only been there for drinks before, so we were surprised by the dinner menu. I chose the chorizo and bean stew as an appetizer, while my husband ordered the beef in tomato sauce. For our main courses, he had the mixed grill and I had the souvlaki. We even had room for dessert: I had the posset and he had a trio of ice cream. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. We will definitely be returning to try more dishes!
We all decided to try the burgers and we were all very happy with our selections. The thick-cut fries are not frozen, like the burgers, making it great value for money. Highly recommended. Would have given 5 stars if there was cheese sauce in the Mac 'n' cheese. We would have also had more to drink if the 2 for 1 cocktails started earlier than 9pm.
