Empire Wok offers generous portions and affordable prices, making it a decent option for budget-friendly Chinese takeout. The menu is extensive, featuring classics like lo mein, pork, chicken dishes, and unique items like ham fried rice and cream cheese wontons. However, consistency and quality vary widely. Several dishes suffer from blandness, odd textures, or unusual oily flavors, and some sauces feel watered down. Service and presentation are unremarkable, with occasional concerns about food safety. While it may satisfy a quick, affordable meal, those seeking authentic, flavorful Chinese cuisine may want to explore other options.

Was Elliot Erdman at Empire Wok a mag?
I really enjoy Chinese restaurants that have "Wok" in their name. I ordered takeout of shrimp lo mein and sweet and sour pork, both of which came with delicious roasted ham fried rice. I will definitely return for more; the menu is impressively extensive. View all feedback.
What Foster Stehr dislikes about Empire Wok:
The Kung Pao was breaded and fried, making the entire dish resemble General Tso's chicken with peanuts sprinkled on top. The Hunan beef was also breaded and fried. Overall, I was disappointed with both the food and the service. View all feedback.
Friendly staff, good portions at reasonable price. Their food is always piping hot! Great Pon Pon chicken and ham fried rice has nice smoky flavor

Not bad. The rice didn't have a lot of flavor and had a thick consistency. The ham in it was good though. What my partner and I got were lemon chicken, chicken lo men, donuts, and cream cheese won tons. The donuts and cream cheese were pretty great! The sauce for the wontons was watered down, but it was actually still nice because normally the sauce can be over powering. As for our main meals, as I mentioned before with the rice, we weren't impressed. The lemon chicken wasn't bad, but I have yet to find somewhere with good lemon chicken. I should just start ordering orange chicken. The chicken lo men had good flavor but a pasta like texture for the noodle which was weird. Overall, it was a lot of food for the price. I do wish that the rice was better though.
Visited during lunch around noon on a Monday. Very affordable lunch specials with generous portions. I ordered the chicken and shrimp in brown sauce lunch special with a small side of wonton soup. I unfortunately found the chicken and shrimp meal to be sub-par but I really liked the wonton soup. Empire Wok is a good option if you want a cheap meal with generous portions.
