Despite slight service hiccups, including unidentifiable desserts and rude staff, the charming pub impresses with its renovated look and friendly new management. Guests rave about the improved menu and the accommodating owners, promising delicious Vietnamese cuisine and gluten-friendly options. A recent lunch visit left diners pleased with their meals, great service, and spacious beer garden. With great potential and a warm atmosphere, the Fitzwalter Arms is a must-visit countryside pub with a loyal following.
What a fab surprise! Had been in for a drink previously and then decided to go for lunch with friends. With 2 gluten free in our group, we were thrilled and delighted to find a very gluten free kitchen quite a few ‘different’ dishes too so above your average offering. We all thoroughly enjoyed the delightful interior of this old pub and friendly and knowledgable host and staff .. what a great experience! We’re arranging to go back for Sunday Lunch and really looking forward to it! Thanks so much to the lovely folk at The Fitzwalter Arms, we’ll see you again soon!
Lovely to see a busy pub in these days! This can only be due to new owners, new menu and amazing food! Really enjoyed our lunch with friends and will definitely return soon to try the rest of the menu!
We went for lunch and the food was amazing. We had a variety of different meals between us including the Sunday Roast. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff and fellow diners were really friendly. The service was attentive and the food was delivered in a timely manner. We will definitely be visiting again and would whole heartedly recommend this venue.
Social distancing was great. Lovely atmosphere! Food was good and staff lovely.
Went down Friday evening, such a warm welcome tables pre booked happy for all our bubble to be sat together. Couldn’t do enough for our group. Great evening food was beautiful will definitely be back soon. Keep up the good work
