Cretans is a vibrant Mediterranean restaurant and wine bar located in Cherry Creek, offering a menu of shareable dishes and creative cocktails alongside a selection of wines from winemakers reviving ancient traditions and embracing heritage varietals. The cocktail menu includes wine spritzes, coffee cocktails inspired by Greek frappe iced coffee, and pour-over martinis with artisanal pickles, olives, and other accoutrements. At Cretans, guests encounter a lively atmosphere enhanced by creative cocktails and a cool, cozy decor. The service is often highlighted, with some servers receiving commendation for their attentiveness; however, issues with food availability and awkward seating arrangements have left some patrons disappointed. While many enjoyed the small bites, not all dishes stood out, and timing conflicts sometimes hindered the dining experience. Despite these challenges, customers appreciate the welcoming vibe, making it an appealing spot for intimate gatherings or celebratory occasions. With a few improvements, this restaurant promises to elevate its already charming appeal.
Cretans is always a favorite.  Last night, was probably the highest level of service I’ve gotten, since I’ve been there, though, extremely attentive waiters, considering the fact that we only ordered two drinks, very excellent service.
The cocktail bar was charming and adorable. However, the food menu was quite limited, with very small portion sizes. It's definitely not a place where you can have a satisfying dinner. We tried the fried chicken with hot honey and the meatballs, both of which were tasty! Unfortunately, we ended up needing to find dinner elsewhere afterward.
It was quite warm inside. The plastic floral decorations felt inexpensive. The service was average.
The only bummer was that they no longer do the viral pour over martinis featured on their Instagram, which made me sad, becuase come on that looked cool af, and unique but you know what, I get it, probably not practical for them to constantly wash all that glassware. Just want to warn the people. Also they ran out of oysters by 7:30pm. Bad luck for me. Otherwise very good drinks and atmosphere.
I ordered a spicy pepperoncini martini but received a salted lemon martini instead. When we pointed out the mistake, they were quick to correct it, which we appreciated. However, the martini we ended up with was quite flat and lacked any real flavor of pepperoncini. Unfortunately, our interaction with the bartender was minimal. We were greeted with a simple “hi, do you want anything else?” and wished a good night without any further engagement. There were no check-ins or personal touches that would have made the experience feel more welcoming.
