I'm a big fan of Chook chicken, even though I hesitate to call it Charcoal chicken since they no longer cook with charcoal, opting instead for rotisseries. I find myself dining there at least once a week because I love the concept and the food, although I do feel the chicken portions are somewhat small. Unfortunately, my recent visits to the Greenwood Village location have been somewhat disappointing. The staff is friendly, but there seems to be a lack of attention to detail. The restrooms have been messy on my last few visits, and today, despite there being only two other customers in the restaurant, three tables were dirty while employees lingered around the counter. One manager-type was sitting nearby, doing paperwork with his hat on backward, seemingly indifferent to the untidy dining area. Considering I'm paying close to $20 for two small pieces of chicken and a salad, I expected a bit more.
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and rate it 5 stars. We faced some issues with our UberEats order, but Brandon addressed them swiftly and went above and beyond our expectations. The food was outstanding and enjoyed by all. The dark meat was particularly tasty, and the homemade sauces and sides were excellent. Overall, it's a wonderful restaurant that provides outstanding customer service.
The chicken was tender and flavorful, the potatoes were delicious, and the children's menu was outstanding. The service was friendly, and the place was clean. Overall, a great experience! We will definitely return!
