This is an excellent restaurant! I think other who reviewed this are looking for cheap food. While this is not very expensive it is a little higher priced than usual (by average of $2 but IT IS WORTH IT! Excellent food and great deserts. View all feedback.

HORRIBLE. My wife and I went to Hispania on a Saturday night around 7PM. Right from the beginning it was bad.. When we arrived we asked to sit outside. The hostess said it would be 20-30 mins (not a problem), so we went to the bar. We sat there and got ignored by the manager/owner and bartender for at least 10 mins (until we asked to order) Got our drinks 11 for a margarita in a highball glass is way to expensive). W... Hispania has outstanding food - Refined, upscale and authentic - yet at reasonable prices. Everything we've had, from the drinks to appetizers to entrees to dessert, has been phenomenal. Good, friendly service and a very welcoming owner (Juan). The next time we come, I'm planning on (finally!) trying the sauteed octopus dish. Then again, I almost did the first time we came... And the second time. The problem is, everything else is so good that it's really a struggle to finally settle on one specific entree. The first two times we came, my entrees were the chicken tostadas (best ever, as another reviewer stated) and then the duck tacos the second time ("tacos de pato"). Believe me when I say that these duck tacos are one of the single best things I've ever had at a restaurant. They're very simple, but absolutely packed with flavor. The duck meat is tender, the tortillas warm and soft, and the mango-tequila-habanero sauce complements them perfectly. Furthermore, the appetizers are out of this world - particularly the chicken and beef empanadas and the flautas, and, like others here have mentioned, Hispania has possibly the best tableside guacamole you're going to find anywhere. The only dessert we've had here so far (every time we've come - it's that good) is the tres leches cake. It's difficult to put in words how good it really is - sweet, creamy, loaded with flavor (but not "too sweet" or overpowering). Seriously, try it - You'll be glad you did. Hispania has fast become one of our favorite restaurants - not just in the Lake Country area, but anywhere. Here you'll find great people, from the bartenders to the waitstaff to the owner and his wife (the head chef), and you'll have one of the best meals ever, regardless of what you end up ordering.

Amazing food. The Chilies relleno was fantastic. So the table side was guac! Jess our waitress made our dinner extra fabulous! I highly recommend this place. We had no idea it was there. Thanks, open table to make me aware!
In this Mexican restaurant you will find unique menu items. Guacamole prepared table side and the salmon appetizer are not to be missed. Recommend the Chilean Lake Bass with Quinoa and the Chicken Mole.
