The experience was decent, especially given the limited options for soul food in the Dayton area. The dressing was a bit on the watery side, and the macaroni was simply noodles smothered in cheese sauce, which didn't resemble the picture at all. First time here... looks very much like a dive. Do NOT let looks deceive you! The rolls are a little over priced but I will definitely get the 4 piece next time! Their food is great. My only regret is we didn't find this place. God bless them and I hope they will be open for decades!
I enjoyed some of the best food I've had in a while! I ordered two tacos, potato wedges, and honey BBQ wings, all at a very affordable price. This has definitely become my new favorite spot!
Although the appearance of the restaurant could use some improvement, the food itself is quite good. I ordered the chicken stuffed with dressing and gravy, and I must say, the yams and cornbread were delicious. The mac and cheese was decent, as were the cabbage and collard greens, even though I'm not typically a fan of vegetables. However, I was disappointed with the dressing; it reminded me of Stove Top, possibly due to the heavy amount of gravy. Despite this, I would be willing to return and try some other dishes.
Tonight was the first time I ate from this lovely establishment. I had the wing combo with mac cheese and the yams. Everything was absolutely delicious. I have no complaints some people have mentioned that the wings were cooked a little too long, but I actually like my wings cooked hardI also had the red beans and rice. They were pretty good could’ve used a little more juice, but like I said, I was very impressed. Very excited to try other items on the menu. Everything was fresh tasty delivered on time and hot.
