Great little truck stop. It's simple but clean, with excellent food and friendly staff. The parking area is currently being expanded, so there may be some temporary disruptions. Overall, a well-deserved popular stop. View all feedback.
If you're looking for a taste of TransCafe during your journey through the Midlands, make a pitstop at Junction 1 of the A14 and follow the signs to Portly Ford Café. This café offers all-day breakfast and hot sandwiches. The £6.40 Full English breakfast comes highly recommended, featuring delicious bacon, excellent black pudding, and sausages cooked to perfection for a satisfying fry up. However, the sandwiches may disappoint as they are mostly bread with minimal filling (only two slices of bacon). If you prefer your tea hot and strong, this motorway service stop is the place for you! You can choose to dine in or take your order to go. The café is open Monday through Thursday from 6am to 10pm, and on Fridays from 6am to 8pm.
