Located in a scenic area, this charming gastro pub offers a delightful experience with its welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff. The restaurant features a concise yet appealing menu, where guests have enjoyed well-prepared dishes, especially the roast beef and breakfast options. While some found the food occasionally underwhelming, reviewers appreciated the beautiful presentation and high-quality ingredients. The clean and stylish amenities, including immaculate restrooms, enhance the overall experience. Although pricing has raised some eyebrows, many found the value justified by the generous portions and inviting ambiance. Whether seeking a meal or an overnight stay, this venue is worth a visit.
Devonport serves as both an outstanding restaurant and a welcoming local pub. The staff are fantastic, always friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful weekend staying in one of the two rooms we booked with friends. The rooms were of a high standard with comfortable beds and clean linens. We enjoyed the view of the greenery from the front of the rooms. The dinner we had was excellent, with friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. The breakfast the next morning was also delicious. This was our second visit and we will definitely be returning.
I went out with my friends for Sunday dinner at a restaurant. The menu options were a bit limited, with only four appetizers and four desserts, as well as three roast options and a few other dishes. The food was good and the service was adequate, neither exceptional nor terrible. However, the prices were quite high compared to what was advertised on their website. The Sunday menu on the website showed prices at £19.50 for two courses or £24 for three, but in reality, it was £21.50 for two courses and £26 for three. One thing that really bothered me was that they automatically added a 10% service charge, which they claimed was optional but made it awkward to ask for it to be removed. This added up to a significant amount, making a three course Sunday lunch cost around £28.60 just for the meal. When adding drinks on top of that, the total bill per person ended up being close to £40, which I felt was too expensive.
The food was fantastic, the service was also fantastic. I would highly recommend it and worth a visit
Lovely restaurant in great position that had a good wide choice of dishes. Good quality food beautifully presented and lovely staff. Easy to park if can’t get in at Yarm High Street, so worth popping up the hill here! Zero Pilsner beer very nice Slightly...more expensive but worth it.
