**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag of Experiences** While this beloved New England pizzeria has seen a decline in quality and service, some loyal patrons remain hopeful for its revival. Their Pizza is really good! I like the red sauce and the crust. Tasty. I got the small Special Pizza again, minus the Anchovies. Ever notice that there is no credit if you don 't want something? Not just here, everywhere. I specifically asked if Anchoviesnot wanted on the Special Pizza could be added to another pizza I ordered at the same time. I was told, OK However, wascharged $2.25 for them hummm. I have noticed in the past that there is an additional charge if you use credit or debit. TodayI came with CASH. On the receipt there was a change of $1.99 for Service Fee What is that all about? I drove there. Didn 't getdelivery. Paid in cash. I don 't get it. And I left a decent tip. I don 't understand.
I have been going to giant pizza for over 10 years now and the food is good, but customer service has been going down hill for a long time, on Friday night I went to pick up my pizza, there was one person working the counter and he was very overwhelmed, while I waited for my order a man came to the side counter and stated he had been in a booth with his family waiting over 30minutes for the pizzas he had ordered, the guy behind the counter handed him two pizza?s, (no waiter/waitress? and didn?t evensay sorry or anything, then I noticed a family walking out, I over heard them saying that they waited at a table for 10 minutesand no one even came by. When I got my pizza and left there were 7 people still waiting on orders, and still one person behindthe counter, terrible service. Maybe no one wants to work.
I’ve seen plenty of people not wearing gloves while making or handling food. It is absolutely ridiculous to sit there and handle food with bare hands and serve it to customers. I will not be coming here again.
They have made significant improvements. I don't think I'll want to try any other places anymore. Their sauce is fantastic, and their gluten-free pizza is so good that people wouldn't even realize it's gluten-free unless they compared it. It's truly excellent, and they really know their food.
I had the worst experience ever at Giant Pizza and I will never order from them again. I placed an order for delivery through DoorDash, but the order was wrong when it finally arrived 40 minutes later. When I called to rectify the mistake, they didn't prioritize my incorrect order and informed me that they would need to recook it, which I understood. However, after an hour of waiting, I called again only to find that my food was cold and just sitting there. They then hung up on me and ignored my subsequent calls as I tried to cancel my order, which now had taken almost three hours since my initial call. The next day, I spoke with the owner about the situation and he didn't even offer an apology. It took nearly a week to receive a refund for the food I never got. I wish I could give them a negative score. I will never return to Giant Pizza.
