**Exploring Ricoton: A Culinary Delight with Mixed Experiences** Nestled in a gas station convenience store, Ricoton offers delicious Latin cuisine that has impressed many patrons with its flavorful dishes like tacos and pupusas. However, not all experiences have been positive, with reports of poor customer service and inconsistencies in operational hours leaving some visitors disappointed. Despite these issues, the overall consensus is that the exceptional food at Ricoton makes it a hidden gem worth discovering in Damascus, Maryland.
The food is amazing, however the customer service is terrible. I call 15 mins ahead to order my food they say okay and when I get there NO FOOD. They claim they didn?t speak to me and I have to wait all over again. Their website says they close at 7:30 but I go in at 6 and they?re closing up counting their drawers.
I love tacos and when my husband found this place I was so excited! This is authentic Hispanic food. The people in there are nice and the food is good!
Stopped by yesterday for the first time, bought 1 pupusa and 6 tacos, let me tell you, the moment I opened the boxes with the tacos in them they smelled rotten! The onions used were rotten and they stank! Kitchen looked dirty too. Will never go back there.

I was getting work done on my car, nextdoor and wanted something to eat while I waited. I searched Google and Ricoton came up with excellent reviews (and literally like 100 steps away). They did not disappoint! I would never thought of eating in a gasstation convenience store (they share that space) but it was DELICIOUS!! ???? The owner cook came out to chat with us and hetold us the story of this 3rd generation family restaurant. He's very passionate about it and you can taste that in his food????. I would highly recommend making a stop here!
