I stopped by Cafe Zingers for breakfast and realized it had been far too long since I had a good Eggs Benedict, so I decided to order that along with an orange juice. While I waited, I was entertained by a young girl who was running around with her parents, delighting both the patrons and staff, who were all charmed by her energy. The staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely interested in all the customers, creating a lovely atmosphere that made me feel very welcome. The orange juice was delicious—organic and full of flavor. The Eggs Benedict was fantastic as well, featuring a beautiful Hollandaise sauce, perfectly cooked eggs, and flavorful salmon on English muffins. If you’re in Croydon, definitely check this place out; and if you’re not, it’s worth making a detour—it’s that good!

Came here today for brunch with my hubby. It was rather busy but we were seated straight away. The staff were friendly and prompt even though it was busy. I had the eggs benidict which was divine! That hollindise sauce is irresistible! Hubby choose the pork belly. He polished off his plate too!! We finished with some amazing coffees. The coffees here is just as good as the food! Jasper is such a beautiful blend and the barista does it justice. The wait staff were very attentive and clearly care about their customers needs. 10 out of 10 from us! Can not wait to go back!
The vegan menu has been significantly reduced, leaving only a handful of options available. However, the pie I tried was quite enjoyable. On a positive note, there is a good variety on the menu overall, with a dedicated section for vegetarian and vegan dishes. One of the highlights was the chai latte, which was one of the best I've ever had. The service was excellent as well. (Note: This review has been updated from my previous review dated August 20, 2023.)
This restaurant seems to have fallen into the common pitfall of offering too many choices, both non-vegan and vegan/vegetarian. Unfortunately, this led to the food being quite bland. While I appreciate the variety and found the staff to be friendly, my experience was disappointing. I ordered the vegan pancakes, and they tasted as if they had been pre-made, frozen, and simply reheated for serving, resulting in a stale and tough texture. The big vegan breakfast was ample in portion but also lacked flavor. I'll be exploring other options in the area and likely won't return here.
