Welcome to The Cross Inn and Old Barn Bar, cherished landmarks of Ness on the breathtaking Isle of Lewis. For decades, we've nurtured a local community hub that blends history with warm hospitality. The Cross Inn, once a bustling post office and butcher, proudly became the first establishment outside of Stornoway to receive a license for food with drinks. Our doors are open to you year-round, with seasonal hours to suit your needs. From 1st October 2024 to 31st March 2025, we invite you to join us from Wednesday to Saturday for drinks only starting at 5pm. As spring arrives from 1st April 2025 to 30th September 2025, we will welcome you daily from Monday to Saturday, starting at 3pm, with food served Tuesday to Saturday. Don’t forget our Piotsa Pizza Trailer on Mondays starting from 21st April, offering delicious pizzas to delight your taste buds! For those seeking a cozy stay, our bed and breakfast will be ready to welcome guests from 1st April to 30th September 2025. At our main house, you can indulge in a meal at our restaurant and unwind with a drink at our licensed bar, available Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm to 10pm, commencing 2nd May. The Old Barn Bar, our charming public bar nestled behind the Cross Inn, is a converted crofters barn featuring a sizable beer garden. Whether you're popping in after an adventure or gathering for events such as pub quizzes and Ceilidhs, we’ve got a space for everyone—and yes, your four-legged friends are more than welcome! Our services include five ensuite B&B rooms, offering a deliciously local Ness breakfast along with continental options, free Wi-Fi, and a large garden equipped with picnic benches for a sunny day. Cyclists will find us accommodating, with secure bike storage and electric bike charging available during your visit.
