Was Dana Nardi at Isle Of Mull a mag?
Room was fabulous Reception, accommodated, late, check-in and check out. Gorgeous water views throughout entire hotel. Food was delicious and staff went over and above. Spa could have been a little better if higher temp in the hot tub and addition of private, hot water showers but massage was great. Will definitely return! Nearby activities: Lovely walk down to the beach and fun trails throughout the property Rooms:... View all feedback.
What Michael Sold dislikes about Isle Of Mull:
Besides the perfect treatments from both therapists we had the Hotel is not 4* place. The rooms have no decent wardrobes just open hanger and no space for smart clothing. You have to keep your clothes in the suitcase. Bathroom was efficient no face cloth which is a must in 4* . The Bistro was ok, but offering a bread plate but no bread is awkward. Food was limited on the menu but ok. Breakfast was acceptable but not... View all feedback.
No accommodating service. We were really looking forward to the Isle of Mull and the hotel, instead we had only stress, trouble and spent half the day in the car. Background: We booked an overnight stay at the hotel. Unfortunately, our ferry was canceled the evening around 7 pm before from Oban because of technical problems. We specifically booked the flex rate at the hotels website, unfortunately the cancellation policy states that we could only have cancelled free of charge until noon. The two options we were offered by phone as an alternative were either to redeem the night as a voucher within the next 5 months or cancel it and pay the full cost. Coming here from Germany again just to redeem a one night stay there, unfortunately we can't do it. Alternatively, we were told we could go to Lochaline, which would only be a two hour drive away, to take another ferry. We even suggested that we just stay one night longer in the Oban Bay Hotel, because it belongs to the same operator and there is even a room still available. However, this was not even considered further because it is apparently a different system. With a little goodwill and effort, we are sure, it still could have worked. Instead, we made our way by car to the other ferry station in Lochaline the next morning. The fact that we have to take an additional ferry from Corran to Ardgour for the trip and that at the moment, as should have been known for some time already, also does not operate, was not considered. Thus we sit now half a day in the car to go to the ferry, which is not even sure whether it goes because of the wind. Thank you, this is exactly how we expected our vacation to be. We hope the ferry’s operating so that we can go to aisle of Mull today, otherwise all efforts on our part were in vain and we have to pay the full amount.
The service was excellent, as was the food. Marvellous views from the room and restaurant. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 4

Food was limited on the menu but ok. Breakfast was acceptable but not fantastic. The hotel needs an urgent renovation. We experience that most hotels on the Scottish Isles have mediocre space and no wardrobe. Very disappointing when you want to wear a kilt attire. Still we had a lovely time but like to give the manager and Crerar Hotels some thoughts. Finally the price is much to high: 150-200£ would be sufficient.
A long review... Close to the ferry. This was a special anniversary trip, the hotel chosen carefully quite expensive. Nearby walks to seashore, dogs allowed to stay. We paid extra for a sea view. Our room was very compact, no drawers, very little hanging space. My husband lived out of his suitcase. A curtain was badly torn. We complained to Reception but couldn't transfer rooms, the curtain was changed. Our evening meal in the Restaurant did not go to plan, the Restaurant Manager was extremely apologetic, but we felt the chef needed to take more care. We booked our Anniversary meal at a nearby restaurant instead which was spectacular. The hotel pool is in fact the community pool as well, the schools use the pool every day late afternoon, at the same time as guests. We didn't pay enough to use the Spa sauna etc behind locked doors! Finally, all the staff were excellent, professional, willing did their best. Cost over £1k for 4 nights B B before the bar bill. Rooms: Very small, minimal furnishing.
