Nestled in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water, The Dial House entices visitors with its charming patio and cozy atmosphere. While many guests appreciate the inviting ambiance and attentive service, opinions on the food vary widely. Some dishes, like the ribeye steak and duck, receive praise for flavor and presentation, while others, including an overcooked pork belly, miss the mark completely. Prices are noted as high, especially for drinks. However, the attentive staff, complemented by the delightful surroundings and warmth of the establishment, create a potential for a memorable experience, especially for those seeking a pleasant spot for drinks or a relaxing stay.

We ate on the front patio which has a lovely atmosphere. But, that is basically where the great points stop. The server was not all that friendly at first but did come around after a while. This place must have the best staff in the worldThey are so friendly and attentive and will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
We ate lunch here while in Bourton-on-the-Water for a day tripThe building is very old (but not haunted, say the owners,) and is neat to look at.
Visited here several times over a 3 week stay and can't fault it. Food, service and location all perfect. We were served several times by a new member of staff who is at Manchester Uni and she deserves a special mention..didnt think to ask her name until we had left but she was so lovely and helpful.

The food was below standard to what you would expect from this caliber of restaurant. The carpaccio appetizer was very small and lacked flavour, perhaps a poorer quality of meat? The rib eye steak was the best of our meals but only ranked average. The pork belly was an absolute disaster. It was overcooked to the point of being burned. The rind so tuff you could not eat it. (We would have returned it except that it took so long to get out the first time!! . The duck was also over cooked. I would recommend you go there for a glass of wine in their backyard tipee or on the patio. Skip it for eating.
Had a lovely meal, the food was all superb, very fancy food, which you do pay a little bit more for. Good service friendly staff. Dining room has a great look.
