I recently had the opportunity to visit the Los Colibríes Ecotourism Center, located in the town of Potrerillo in the Municipality of Coscomatepec, where I spent a wonderful day with people from whom I learned a lot. We have seen with sadness how the deforestation of the Pico de Orizaba National Park is increasing exponentially, in my opinion we should look for economic schemes so that people have other sources of income and also create awareness so that they know that if the forests end, the glacier The Jamapa will end up dying and with it the water in 5 municipalities in the state of Puebla and 26 in the state of Veracruz. I don't want to imagine the amount of conflicts this can cause. The Colibríes Ecotourism Center is a clear example that you can have alternative sources that boost the economy of this entire area, creating sources of employment and taking care of the environment at the same time.
