What kevinstout dislikes about The Cornish Oven:
We travelled to cornwall to visit friends in Camborne, on the way out I noticed Cornish Oven and family back home was asking to bring Cornish Pasties home... Say no more I found a smart little Cafe that bakes Fresh Pasties Daily, I purchased 6 pieces and the smell was nice too freshly cooked. Now then, after the days traveling home and tasting this Cornish Pasties wasn't so good, plenty of veg and one or two pieces o... View all feedback.
I bought a traditional steak paper and bought me a fluffy cheese and swirl for my wife. so my opinion: inexpensive for money: 4/5. flaky pasties: £3.80, shortcrust: £4.10 they were big and substantially. form filling: 4/5. my wife said she wanted more cheese, and I found especially 2 big steaks in my pasty. Taste: 4/5. both baked goods had nice pastries and the fillings were delicious. the meat in the Steak-Pady was soft and tasty. total: 4/5. good.

The best pasties I ever tasted, freshly made and hot. very friendly staff. I discovered this load two months ago when my man and I were in cornwall. Since then we make sure we get our pasties from them all days when we are in camborne, which is all 10 days or so.
The women working at the restaurant were amazing when we arrived and requested a large order of pasties without placing an order in advance. It only took ten minutes to prepare our order, and the pasties were delicious, satisfying everyone's preferences. Thank you for such great service. We will definitely return, but next time we will give you more notice. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures as the staff immediately began enjoying the food.
I have never thrown away a pasty, until today. First two bites tasted of burnt pastry and oil. Then a giant undercooked tomato exploded in my mouth. When I finally got near the uncut bacon and sausage (just a large sausage) it was also undercooked and punk inside. The bacon bite contained more onion than anything else, something that surprised me as normally we don't have any in at all. Horrible, will never return.
