A Hidden Gem! You won't truly appreciate it until you taste the food. At first glance, the place might look closed, and it's cluttered with items everywhere. The restaurant has an old charm and certainly needs some repairs. The owner, who is also the sole employee, seems a bit worn too, but wow, can he cook! I've dined at some top restaurants, but I've never had a house salad as incredible as this one! Every dish is... View all feedback.
What Dan Miller dislikes about Antoinette:
I suspect that Paul Thomas was paid to write that review. I wasn’t even aware that the restaurant was open; it has looked run-down for years. There’s a big difference between having a relaxed approach to decor and being in a state of disrepair. The masonry on the outside is crumbling, and the interior appears to have been neglected for a long time. These are just my observations from viewing the outside of the buildi... View all feedback.
As noted in the three categories, décor is not an area that John prioritizes. His main focus is on the food, and he creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere for his guests without spending resources on unnecessary décor. The restaurant is clean and functional, but don’t expect a stunning environment. If you're looking for a beautifully decorated restaurant, there are certainly better options in the city. Some may criticize Antoinette's for its lack of aesthetic appeal, but in my honest opinion, John has chosen to overlook décor because his food is so outstanding that it doesn’t need flashy surroundings to attract customers. I hope he will be open on Memorial Day 2013, so we can celebrate my birthday there!
CASH AND CHECK ONLY. does not accept card payments. Almost got stuck being unable to pay for lunch ?As others have mentioned super messy looking (even doors sticking on sagging floors), but really amazing food made with care by the proprietor. Vegetarian options: Veggie based options available Wheelchair accessibility: NOT wheelchair accessible steep steps up to restaurant entrance.

Rare Gem!!! But you won't know it until you taste the food. When you walk in you think it must be closed and he's moving out because there is stuff everywhere. The place is old and needs repair. The owner and only employee is in the same condition, BUT man can he cook!!! I like the finest dining I can find, but I have never had a house salad as good as this one, ever!!! All the food was prepared completely from scratch and oh my lord does he know what he's doing! The tables while extremely old, were genuine wood and as clean as can be! This place is a little shocking to walk into but I highly recommend it anyway. The fine cuisine was second to none!
