Crown & Moose - Corner Brook
Crown & Moose
Description
Crown and Moose offers average pub grub with friendly service. The fish and chips were OK, while the French dip sandwich and mango salad fell short. The restaurant's location near the Glynmill Inn is convenient, and the Iceberg beer was a highlight. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, with a good selection of beer. The friendly waitress, Robyn, stood out for exceptional service. Despite some slow service experiences, the food overall was excellent. The fried chicken sandwich was particularly memorable. Basic pub fare fills a gap, but don't expect fine dining. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.

My wife and I are here to visit friends. they said we should try. I love it, especially eat it! the food content is great for the price. in any case would recommend for people with great appetit. the fish taco and fish chips taste more fresh, then what we return to home. our waiting staff was beautiful and came to great times at the table. not too early, but not too late, only if necessary and not with our mouthful full lol! thanks to our friends and thanks to crown moose for the hostess! we will eat here again when in corner brook, nl.
I have eaten several times here and try different things on the menu. eating is great and the service is great. the personal is very friendly.
My man and I visited the krone and the moose for dinner on Friday night and had a very pleasant experience. the food was very good and we both enjoyed our meal. what turned out over the evening was the service we received from our waitress robyn. she was so pleasant and friendly and seemed very efficient. she could certainly see that she enjoyed what she did, and I would think that every worker would like to work with a coworker with the enthusiasm for her work that this young lady has. thanks robyn for the great service!
Started with a waitress that wanted to be anywhere but there. We were a party of 4 for dinner. I ordered the pan fried cod...she asked if I wanted 1 piece or two...?? When it came, it was one piece, deep fried...the mashed potatoes were...a pile of waxy looking mush and no vegetables made it to the plate. I'm still not sure what the potato substitute was.... When I asked to send it back she said it would be 20 min....so I ate the fish only. Another in our party ordered a club wrap....it was literally dripping in mayo. We had to ask for cutlery after the so called food was dropped off at our table and she never came back until it was time for the bill. The kitchen took no pride in their work, nor did she. I refused to pay for the cod, she didn't argue or seem to care. I wish I had taken a photo for the manager. First and last visit. Truro, NS
Had four meals at this restaurant over the past weekend. The first meal was excellent. We had the fish and chips and oh what large portions of fish, cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Second meal was a breakfast and service was great as well...and the food was well prepared, piping hot and delivered promptly. Third meal was a dinner; well, service was a very large disappointment. Slow and the restaurant was not full. It seemed as if the server was not paying any attention. Ordered meal which was excellent and well prepared, half way through the meal, the server checked to see how things were and we ordered another drink...well, we were finished the meal and she came back to see if we wanted anything like dessert. Spouse said to server I think you forgot our drinks, which she responded oh yes, i just got so busy and and... which we knew the difference. Anyway she did get the drinks then. Final meal was breakfast again, food was great, but service was slow. Overall, a great experience with great food.
