Wing Hing - Corby
Wing Hing
Description
In a recent exploration of local takeout options, one restaurant fell drastically short of expectations. Patrons reported frustratingly long delivery times, with orders arriving late and cold. The food itself was underwhelming; customers described bland fried rice, soggy chicken, and tasteless curry. Many experienced food safety issues, leading to illness after consumption. While a few reviews praised the cleanliness and friendly service, these positives were overshadowed by the consistent complaints regarding food quality and reliability. Given the prevalence of better alternatives in the area, it seems this establishment struggles to meet customer demands and deserves caution.

Super B service, always on time to deliver, at least in my area, eating is great! they have never asked problems with me (via Just-Eat noten) to swallow the sweet sour souce for curry sauce as I prefer with my chicken balls. chilli bark is perfect. the chicken balls are crowned to perfection, also taste good and fresh. the chips are great, they are slightly broken and always perfected. salt chilli bark huh are great, and one of my other favorites.
Greasy, gloopy, and really rather inedible. From my perspective it was the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever tasted (I would have said eat but that would imply that I digested any...although I tried. A shame, perhaps a real Chinese chef can sort out the problem.
Ordered tonight for a quick meal as was late coming in from work. Normally use Lotus House as its amazing but unfortunately it closes on Monday nights, so checked out the reviews on Just Eat and this place had some great reviews! Ordered at 7.15 on Just Eat... only a small order, S S chicken dish, Egg fried Rice and Salt Chilli Chips.. Shouldn’t take too long right?! So I placed the order, and it came up as a delivery time of 20.10.. Ok, 50 minutes isn’t great, but happy to wait for decent food... 5 mins later, I get a notification that my delivery time has been changed to 20.20 (1hr 5 minutes This food should be great if its taking this long to cook!! 20.05 came.. ‘Your order is on route’ so we wait 15 minutes (20.20 and still no food.. So I call the restaurant and spoke to a young girl.. ‘Oh yeah, he has gone out, but he’s took 2 orders with him so he’ll probably be another 10/15 minutes...’(that makes it 1hr20minutes ...... 20 minutes later a car drives down our street..I open the door to see the delivery driver trying to deliver our food to 4 doors down!!!!! Then when he seen me, he shouted ‘Sorry, got the wrong house’ Then continued to walk as slowly as he possibly could (whilst I was waiting at the front door in the rain! with his headphones in!!!!!! There was no apology for the time it took.. Now on a Friday or Saturday, I expect to have a long wait for food.. but not this length of time and on a Monday night?! So finally, we had our food..... So Hungry!!! It was disgusting! The egg fried rice had no flavour, The Sweet and Sour chicken Hong Kong Style.. the batter was soggy and the flavour was awful... Salt and Chilli chips were ok but again no flavour.... Oh and to top it off... it was all COLD! The Prawn Crackers (which we ordered, not complimentary looked and tasted as if they were days old! I ate about 3 mouthfuls and couldn’t touch anymore. It was just awful! I will definitely never be ordering from this place again! Disgusting food and rubbish customer service! I’m surprised they get any business to be honest! Don’t waste your money or your time....I think the majority of Chinese Takeaways in Corby outshine this one!!!!
Very tasty, Hot. fast delivery. Will use again. Used just eat to place order. Got caught out with carrots in the seet and sour chicken but easily picked out
Maybe I’m just naive or don’t order Chinese very often but last time I checked you would have thought a ‘mixed meat’ chow mein would consist of a variety of meats and nothing else. Thankfully I managed to spot the prawns straight away and throw it away. With the recent news of deaths caused by allergies (Pret a Manger) you’d obviously think places would be more vigilant in stating allergen info or at least having a description that a ‘mixed meat’ chow mein would contain prawns should be a given. I phoned to state my concerns and warned in future that this could happen to someone else with a severe shellfish allergy who perhaps does not usually order Chinese regularly and therefore could have severe repercussions, I felt my concerns were falling on deaf ears and to then be offered a 20% discount off my next order was a bit tongue in cheek because after this I certainly will not be using this place again and would recommend others especially with any potential allergies to do the same!!
