This is a a very busy resteraunt with a big take out business. I eat here at least once in two weeks. I find it tasty with average pricing. The service is quick and efficient and The customer is valued View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Mega Sushi:
have been in the restaurant which only has about 5 booths and 2 small tables. I have only gone in to get my takeout. Unfortunately they do not do delivery or I would be ordering from the weekly!! The spicy tuna sashimi is very , very good, and I've tried more than one restaurant in the area for this dish. I will definitely go again for takeout and some day stay for a meal in the restaurant. One of my go-to Japanese restaurants in coquitlam! Got a few dishes for takeout and was super impressed by how quick I was able to head out the door without ordering ahead of time. Not to mention that the dishes were delicious. Will be back!
Super tasty, super good portions for price, love the atmosphere so much it made me smile just soaking it up. Servers do well with such a busy environment.
My family and I have loved Mega Sushi for a very long time now and will always tell anyone who listens how amazing their food is. Today, I'm writing to tell you how in awe we are of the service we received at Mega! I placed an order for pickup, and when leaving to go pick it up, realized the battery in my car was dead. We had nobody else available to pick it up so I called the store asking if I could cancel the order and order through Uber Eats or just cancel it entirely. A very very kind man working there offered to DRIVE OUR FOOD TO US and delivered our food within 5 minutes of me calling !!! Cannot think of any other business that would offer to do this, and I am so grateful for their empathy, kindness, and exceptional service. Mega Sushi will continue to be our go to spot, and I cannot thank everyone there enough for their hospitality, warmth, and great food. <3
We ordered and shared spicy agedashi tofu and ebi gyoza for appetizers. Both dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavor. The tempura prawn and yam was crispy and perfectly cooked, while the sushi and roll combinations were tasty but not particularly unique. The seafood yaki udon was a standout dish, with perfectly cooked noodles and delicious sauce. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience at Mega Sushi. The food was delicious, the service was good, and the ambiance was pleasant.
This sushi restaurant is located on Austin Avenue in Coquitlam. It currently has no competitors in the area, giving Mega Sushi an advantage. The restaurant is small with limited seating, so there may be a wait for a table. It is operated by Korean staff who are professional, friendly, and efficient. They work quickly to ensure a fast turnover of tables and increased business. During our visit, we ordered four dishes, including ikura sushi, Austin roll, spicy chopped scallop roll, and a combination of tuna and salmon sashimi. The only downside was that the pieces of the Austin roll were too big, making it difficult to eat. The seaweed also seemed chewy, which was not enjoyable. However, the flavors of the sushi were good, especially when paired with the sauce. The pricing at Mega Sushi is reasonable and the portion sizes are decent. Despite the chewy seaweed, we would definitely consider returning for more Japanese food and sushi in the future.
