I've been there three times—once for lunch and twice for dinner. The chips were perfect each time; really excellent! The cod was fresh and juicy, though I prefer it without the skin. The batter wasn’t quite crispy, even with the fish served separately. The battered sausage was crispy and incredibly tasty. To me, it feels a bit like a large chip shop. It's somewhat disappointing that they make customers stand outside, as it doesn't feel very welcoming, even though the staff who served me were friendly and professional. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
We live in Portishead, about 15 miles away, and discovered this fish and chip shop when they used to offer Sunday roast dinners. After a while, they stopped serving roast, so we decided to drop by on a Saturday afternoon for fish and chips. Let me tell you, it was by far the best fish and chips we've ever had! The cod was juicy, the batter was perfect, and the chips were fantastic! The owner and the staff are incredibly helpful, and the shop itself is spotless. We wouldn't want to go anywhere else. A huge thanks to them for such great value, and there’s even plenty of outdoor seating at the chip shop. Highly recommended for everyone!
A fantastic fish and chip shop! You can place your order over the phone or visit the shop directly. The service is excellent. It was even better before the pandemic, though.
