An evening at a local sushi spot in Columbus reveals a fluctuating dining experience. While some patrons rave about the fresh sushi and delightful spring rolls, others find dishes lacking in flavor or balance, such as overcooked calamari and overpowering sauces. The restaurant shines with excellent service and a pleasant ambiance, particularly on the cozy patio, perfect for casual conversations and sports viewing. Diners appreciate the extensive menu, including vegetarian options and a happy hour, but opinions diverge on specific rolls. For those in search of a varied sushi experience, this restaurant presents both potential and pitfalls.

Was Madilyn Waelchi at Oshio a mag?
oshio is great! they have a lot of options. many vegetarian options and good drinks options. they can also just customize everything. I would recommend it. I would say it's probably one of the better sushi locations in Colombia. View all feedback.
What Eleanore Cummings dislikes about Oshio:
The main dish was lacking flavor and color. My wife had to add soy sauce to give it some taste. The calamari was tough and seemed to be overcooked. The sushi was drowned in overpowering sauces, making it difficult to tell if there was even fish in the roll. The flavors were unbalanced. While the server was friendly, we have no plans to return to this restaurant. View all feedback.
We came here for the happy hour and sat at the patio on a Thursday night. Patio is small w only 3 tables but a great spot to enjoy and people watch. We got the edamame , spring rolls , seaweed salad, salmon carpaccio, sushi deluxe.Presentation was nice and fish was fresh. The sushi rice was different from what I am used to but wasn’t bad flavor. Service and food was good. Will come back to try kitchen menu.

The sushi at this restaurant is always excellent and consistently delicious. The presentation is beautiful and the atmosphere is lovely. I have since moved away from Columbus, but I really miss Oshio.
I absolutely love Oshio! As someone who is picky about sushi, I must say everything was delicious. The cherry blossom roll is my favorite, especially with the addition of spicy mayo. The tiger roll is also fantastic, although I wish they wouldn't pack it so tightly for takeout. This was my only minor complaint so far.
