What chris weber dislikes about Apna Kitchen:
The restaurant is exceptional. It's the best Indian food I've ever tasted and honestly ranks among the most delicious food I've had overall. I can't wait to return! View all feedback.
This is a fantastic Indian restaurant, far better than what you might typically find in South Indiana. I make it a point to dine here at least once a week. They offer a buffet for lunch and occasionally for dinner, but you can also order from the menu. The buffet always features a wide selection of vegetarian dishes, and there are also some vegan options on the regular menu. As mentioned in a previous review, they have thoughtfully categorized vegetarian and vegan items separately, which is great. It can be a bit tricky to locate since it's situated behind a strip mall. I recommend calling them if you're having trouble finding it.
I've been eating at Indian restaurants for 25 years, and Apna Kitchen is the best I've ever experienced. The dishes are freshly prepared with authentic seasoning right in the kitchen. The owner hails from South India, where vegan and vegetarian cuisine is the norm, so there are plenty of vegan options for dinner, as well as a variety of vegetarian dishes. The staff is attentive to your spice preferences and dietary needs. The lunch buffet also features a great selection of vegan products. This new restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, and the entrance can be a bit tricky to find, but you'll definitely be glad you made the effort to visit.
Apna Kitchen boasts an extensive menu featuring a wide variety of regional Indian dishes, along with some Indochinese options. Everything I tried, from the appetizers to the main courses, was absolutely delicious. I particularly appreciated that vegetarian and vegan options are clearly labeled in separate sections of the menu. The staff is friendly and courteous, and even if it's your first experience with Indian cuisine, they will guide you to the perfect dish!
This is a really good Indian restaurant. Much better than you might expect to find in southern Indiana. I try to eat here at least once a week. They have a buffet for lunch and sometimes for dinner, otherwise you just order off the menu. There are always plenty of vegetarian items on the buffet, and usually some vegan ones, too. As a previous reviewer mentioned, they have vegetarian and vegan items separately categorized on the menu, which is really nice. It's a bit hard to find, as it's kind of behind a strip mall.I would call them if you have trouble finding it.
I’ve been eating in Indian restaurants for 25 years and the food at Apna Kitchen is the best I’ve ever had. Dishes are prepared fresh with spices ground right in the kitchen. The owner is from south India where vegan and vegetarian food is the norm, so there are dozens of vegan dinner entrees, appetizers and breads to choose from, and many vegetarian dishes, too. The staff will guide you to the spiciness and animal-friendliness you desire. A lunch buffet highlights vegan items. Make a point of eating here. This new restaurant is a little out of the way, and the front entrance is a little hard to find, but, oh, you’ll be glad you did.
