Schianos has great food and a nice atmosphere. Their pizza is best I have had in Columbia. Normally has great service. Last night was a exception. Our waitress was very inattentive and generally disinterested. More training and a focus on customer service would make this a better experience. Things like bring water and refill drinks. I was born and raised in NYC and now serve in the military, which means I'm constantly relocating across the country. No matter where I am, I'm always on the lookout for a pizza place that has that genuine NYC flavor, as my family and I enjoy pizza night once a week. We usually try every pizza joint in town until we find one that’s just right. When I visited Shianos, the atmosphere was spot on, and once I tasted the pizza, it confirmed my hopes. I've heard people who have never been to NYC rave about how much they love NY-style pizza. As a former New Yorker, I can confidently say that this pizza truly captures that NYC essence, as every pie is crafted just like you'd find in Brooklyn or at Mercer and Waverly in the heart of Manhattan. I grew up in New York, and I have to say, they serve some of the best pizza around! I’d also recommend their Greek salad. It may not be anything extravagant, but it’s incredibly tasty. Yes, delivery can take a while on weekends, but it's definitely worth the wait.
Great food great service, we were actually waited by the delivery driver who did great. The owner lets all servers turn off the day to enjoy Mother's Day. That's great. I'm sorry, no pictures because we're tearing it up. We had spaghetti meat sauce eggplant parm. And my favorite cheese pizza.
Probably the best Italian food Ive had in Columbia. Entrees come with rolls and a greek salad. The Italian dressing is very good. We ordered cheesy garlic bread, pasta with meatsauce and meatballs, and lasagna. All the food was delicious. Our sever was great, very attentive. All employees were wearing masks and were very polite. If youre craving Italian, this is the place to come.
