Have visited Sol Cafe in their new location a few times now. Really like the ethos of the cafe and quality of the food which is really tasty. However the slow service really lets this place down. We waited a long time for our food and others who ordered after us were served before us. We were told our food would be out soon. When it did arrive, side orders were missing. Very tasty. Server knew exactly the ingredients of various dishes and substitutions that could be made. But there were dishes vegan from the start so a good selection.
Was quite skeptical after reading the reviews, but had little option while out of town… well, I am surprised, and believe that things have improved greatly since the previous reviews. There were options, and the food was good. Long time vegan who has stopped going to ‘vegan option’ places, but had to this weekend and was able to find and eat a decent meal. I even waited to post to see if I had any reactions (digestively) to the food, but I am good.
The food at this restaurant was delicious and very healthy. The service was excellent as well! I highly recommend checking it out if you find yourself in Collingwood.
The food at this restaurant is both fresh and innovative. Leanne, our server, really made our day and set a great tone for the rest of our dining experience.
