With groups of Danish travellers, I have visited the Schlossbergkeller frequently. The groups have always been treated with the utmost kindness and hospitality. The offered wines are good and the prices reasonable. What makes the visit worthwhile though is the obvious pride in the offered products.
Again we were thrilled by the most beautiful winery in Cochem and its hospitality. Well, we were here with our own car and could bring the best vines home. Our favorite is the selection Riesling, as well as Kerner Spätlese. And... if you love the liver, you can also take home. Try her bread from a traditional recipe with malt and has a beautiful color. Love this place and learn every time we visit. The owner is a beautiful lady, just incredible!
Protected April 11, 2019. Note this restaurant during the ascent on the hill towards the castle because of its beautiful pot of flowers in front of its terrain. After energy was tapped due to the ascent and was also warm on the hill (was cool... on 11. April), I needed more food to keep me warm, so went to Schlossbergkeller, while the descent on the hill. Nice ambience. Good wine. Wanted to taste German famous pig bones. May his Middle Ages waitress didn't understand what I meant, pig ankles turned out to be a food in jelly form and it was cold. Miss communication. The pages of free bread were also quite hard. I love the prints on the napkins that show the grapes from which the wine was derived. Would I recommend Schlossbergkeller? Yeah, for his wine and his ambience. Will go back to this restaurant when I ever return to Cochem and try another main course.
