Nestled in a charming neighborhood, this cozy tavern delivers consistently excellent comfort fare — from standout burgers and New York steaks to crisp fish & chips — with crafty cocktails (notably a well-balanced Moscow mule) and a lively bar pouring generous craft beer. Warm, inviting decor makes it ideal for lunch, quick bites, families or casual business meals. Service is typically friendly and efficient, though busy nights can bring short-staffing and occasional inattentiveness.
Nice casual place for food and drink. The decor is nice- loved the tables. We had burgers and beer. The beer was cold and good. The burgers were good, a bit salty for us. We would go again to try something else. The staff was good. There were TVs over the bar, but no sound (I like that). It was easy to have a conversation.
The air conditioning was not working, making for an uncomfortable experience. They even had the kitchen door propped open to assist the cooks.
We expected our waitress to check on us, so we continued with our meal. However, she never came by, despite our wait. I attempted to get the attention of several other servers to ask them to notify our waitress, but none were successful. Eventually, I approached a third server and explained that my wife's food was stale and that we would have preferred to address this sooner, but since we had waited so long, we were now just ready for the check. About five minutes later, our waitress finally came to our table. She offered no apologies or acknowledgment of our concerns, stating only that she had been told by others that I had asked for her three times, but no one had informed her to come over. I reiterated that the food was poor quality and that we had tried to bring this to her attention 20 minutes ago, but at this point, we just wanted the bill. She brought the check within a minute, but again, there was no apology or effort to assist us. Instead, she mentioned that she was busy attending to other tables. We paid and left, feeling disappointed as no employee made any effort to address the subpar food or the even worse service.
Small but powerful! The food is consistently excellent. The atmosphere is charming and peaceful, making it a perfect spot for lunch. It’s also a great local hangout with a lovely bar. If you haven't been yet, you simply have to give it a try! You'll find yourself coming back time and time again.
