A recent review of this restaurant provides a mixed perspective on the experience, noting high prices for some dishes but acknowledging great portion sizes and delicious ribs. The Surf and Turf dish fell short in terms of cooking as requested, but the manager kindly took it off the bill. While unsure about returning, the reviewer's son would definitely come back for the ribs. Another customer had a pleasant experience with a quick pint and rest, and the pub exceeded expectations with reassurance of ID verification during Covid restrictions. Overall, it seems to be a place worth visiting for its varied menu, generous portions, pleasant staff, and efficient service.

Great place to discover or return to. The menu is varied and well suited for families with young children . The food is well prepared and served in generous portions. The staff is pleasant and efficient. It was extremely reassuring that all certificate and ID verifications were adhered to whilst covid restrictions were in place. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Monastery Inn:
Called in on a wet a December day. There was a lovely cosy fire and a friendly welcome. The food is grand, nothing exciting, but fine. It is served up quickly too, so no time wasted if on the road. Bacon and cabbage was very good. Ribs were over cooked and smothered in BBQ sauce. Kiddies portions are generous. View all feedback.
