Good food, fast service. The menu is hard to read/follow when you have several folks in the car/van. It would be great to have the menu available BEFORE we get to the speaker. The staff wants to get your order, and get you out of the way..and why don't you offer condiments when ordering? As fast as you are pushing people through, we have missed condiments, napkins, flatware when we arrived at our destination, all for the sake of your speed, and the car behind us. That is NOT good Customer Service. Either assume that we want EVERYTHING, or just ask kindly when we order, not when you are shoving a $40.00 bag of food, drinks, and a gallon of tea in the window of my car please!
We were in this place last week and as we were waiting to order, a rude customer got in front of us just to complain about her bun! Now my food was served on paper instead of on a plate but I didn't complain because the food was fantastic the service was great with a smile! I'm very impressed of how they kept the service going without plates and very appreciative of my food! Great service Great food!Thank you.
This Smithfields is one of the best! Food is always freshly cooked. The place is clean and fresh. The staff is great. And the sweet tea...it's perfect, no aftertaste, not too sweet, not under sweet, not full of ice....just perfect. My favorite is the BBQ sandwich. Their sandwich is made so nicely. The bread is not soggy, juices doesn't drip everywhere, the slaw to BBQ ratio is spot on. No remorse coming here. There is a Smithfields in my home town and I drive 30 minutes just to come to this one. Oh yeah...it is that good.
When I called the restaurant back, Manager Faghey informed me that my card had not been returned to me in a timely manner and apologized, saying it had been stored in the safe. However, by that point, I had already canceled my card just a few hours earlier. Now, I have to wait up to 14 days for a new card or pay $15 for expedited shipping. This incident not only happened in Clayton but also occurred a few months ago at the Garner location. I will never return.
First time since the rebuild. Nice setup. Good food. Great service and nice atmosphere.
