Despite the inconsistent food quality and limited drink selection, its friendly staff and unique cultural presence make it a local gem worth visiting.

The bar staff here are excellent, and the drinks are generously sized, which has made our strolls along Morse Avenue and the beach especially enjoyable during these challenging times. We look forward to experiencing the indoor service as soon as life returns to a sense of normalcy.
I attended a two-story event at this restaurant, and it was excellent! The tea room had a charming atmosphere, and the table was perfect for our gathering. The service was great, and the food was delicious. The sweet potato fries were particularly tasty, and the Cobb salad was very good as well.
The staff is friendly, the food is decent, and it's never very loud. While it's trying to be a sports bar, it seems there's rarely anyone interested in the games, including me. Could do without the TVs, or it would be nice to see something a little more unique on the screens.
I stopped by after Pride, so it was super busy. It's right by the Red Line, which is great. I had grilled cheese and soup and a few beers food was yummy. The server was friendly and attentive. Popped outside for the party after I ate and had a lovely time.
Pub 626 is also a significant cultural hub in East Rogers Park, drawing in what I would describe as the quintessential local crowd: creative individuals with a flair for the unconventional, politically progressive, educated, well-read, and embodying that unique spirit of the city. I've had many great conversations with the staff and fellow patrons here.
