Little shop in a big town. Good donuts, great service, atmosphere could use some updating, but if you like a small town feel, this is the place for you. Sour cream is the best donut.Parking: You can park right in front. Excellent parking. View all feedback.
What jahaziel n dislikes about Sub-base:
I had a very disappointing experience with the service at Dandy Donuts, which I believe is owned by a rather rude individual. I parked in their lot briefly to finish a call and check out the donut shop while getting a key made at a nearby locksmith. Before I had even been there for five minutes, a man approached me and insisted that I couldn't park there. I was forced to leave without parking. I later found out from... View all feedback.
The donuts are incredibly fresh and taste just like carnival funnel cakes. We ended up buying 13! I also requested a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich (which I don't think is on the regular menu), and the woman generously made me 4! Such a kind gesture. I will definitely be returning!
Absolutely delicious donuts! They are handcrafted, and there's just no comparison to chain donut shops like Dunkin' Donuts. They only produce 50 dozen each day, so it's common for them to sell out quickly. Saturday mornings, in particular, can be quite busy.
Original (November 2020): I’m giving this 4 stars, based solely on takeout for donuts, not the sandwiches. However, based on reviews, I think we might try their subs next time! We visited at 2:30 PM on a Sunday and were disappointed to find most donuts were sold out, so I recommend getting there earlier. The shop itself is quite unassuming, with nothing special about its exterior or interior, but there’s plenty of parking available. We picked up a half dozen donuts, listed here in order of preference: - Sour Cream: delicious - Honey Dip: very good (though it didn’t taste much like honey); reminded me of a Krispy Kreme donut (not a bad thing!) - Solid Chocolate: also very good; similar to an Entenmann’s donut (again, not a complaint!) - Sugar Raised: decent, a bit plain - Cinnamon Twist: just okay - Lemon: lacked a strong lemon flavor, but I’m not a fan of lemon anyway The pricing is fantastic—only $5.69 for a half dozen donuts, tax included! We'll definitely return, making sure to go earlier next time for a better selection. It’s a solid option for the area, though I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Before I had even been there for five minutes, a man approached me and insisted that I couldn't park there. I was forced to leave without parking. I later found out from another business on the same block that this was a result of the Guatemala consulate using their parking spaces, and they are apparently unhappy about it. As a Hispanic person, I felt that the owner was extremely disrespectful and discriminatory. Because of this encounter, I will never return to do business at Dandy Donuts.
