**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag at ViewHouse**
Nestled in a bustling location, ViewHouse captures patrons with its stunning views and vibrant atmosphere. Diners often rave about the friendly service and impressive drink selection, making it a great spot for casual gatherings or sunset meals. While some dishes, including the iconic fish and chips, impress, others can leave guests wanting more. The reservation system has drawn criticism, especially when expectations of panoramic views are unmet. However, the casual ambiance, variety of offerings, and family-friendly environment make it a worthwhile visit; just be prepared for potential crowds and variable portion sizes. Overall, it’s a place where good food and great company come together.

Food is great, drinks are good. Service is almost always mediocre no matter how busy it is. Just a small example: We were seated for over 5 minutes before anyone even came to our table to acknowledge us or take our drink order, and the place was only 20% capacity with a bunch of people working. At one point we didn't see our server for 30+ minutes. It was an effort just to order drinks and ours sat empty for a long time. I used to serve when I was younger and I never would ignore tables for long periods the way they consistently do here. Also 3 out of the 4 high-top chairs at our table were broken and unsafe to sit on. Someone is eventually going to hurt themselves. Unfortunately we will probably no longer come back after multiple chances.
Disappointing reservation system! We made a reservation on the website a few days ahead of time to enjoy a meal with a guest visiting from Germany. We specifically chose ViewHouse Centennial for the views, but when we arrived, they wouldn’t seat us upstairs, claiming it was full, and instead placed us in the bar area, which was loud and had no views. They also mentioned that they had set our reservation for the bar because they assumed we wanted to watch a wrestling match, which is baffling since we never mentioned anything about wrestling when we booked. It felt somewhat deceptive. While the service and food were decent once we were seated, I can't help but wish we had left and gone somewhere else.
The food was okay. We ordered french onion, dumpling soup and the fish and chips. Recommend ordering appetizer, mozzarella with prosciutto and the dessert bread pudding. We got there just in time for sunset. That was great. The server was very nice and sweet but not very attentive
Based on the rating, I was expecting mediocre food and an empty dining room. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find the food was fantastic. The waitress on the patio was friendly and helpful, and upstairs, the waiter Demitrius worked hard to secure us a table and provide excellent service on a lovely evening. I’m not sure how this place has such low ratings, given that other reviewers seem to struggle to find parking. It sounds like it’s busy because it’s a great spot!
