we had fantastic service of the islanders (harry): we were in the opposite and had orders for 12 and 8 persons to two separate locations during the week. the fish was first-class and we could have the food delivered to a bonus. highly recommended. View all feedback.
What tillie j dislikes about Islanders:
come in around an hour after they opened and got served, wasn’t really any interaction with me they was talking to another person majority of the time apart from when i had to pay, then had to wait 15-20 minutes for a small chips and saveloy not to mention it was more or less empty in there apart from me and another women, then when it was wrapped up she dropped my saveloy onto the side infront of the till and procee... Visited for the first time today. my daughter and I had the “small” cod special that actually went right over the teller! I couldn't eat all chips. best fish ever. eat, service first class, staff very friendly. can't blame it. will be back.
Went there mai tag bank holiday offered Monday immediately midweek offer small cod and chips brot and butter tee or coffee for £7.50 was freshly cooked and fantastic each part of it will go again and was surprised by the size of the small cod still filled my owale plate more than I could comfortably eat
Just had a lovely lunch had a little wait but think that because it was all cooked fresh had the grilled skate wing with new potatoes really special other half had cod and chips best he had in a while not greasy at all can’t wait to visit Canvey again soon know where we will be going for lunch Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
