Lovely ambience, white table cloths, attentive service. Wine in my opinion, is not very good. This is disappointing because excellent quality, well priced Portuguese wine is available almost everywhere these days. Food, particularly the cooked vegetables, bring back the painful memories of English school dinners in the 1970s. If I am to eat at Jackpot again, I would probably choose meat over fish.
The menu is a normal offering but the food is good and well served by staff who have been there a long time, and probably seen it all before.. no pretence or attitude
The service was memorable: seasoned professionals who were amiable, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was OK, but not more it is not difficult to find better in the area. Pricing was definitely towards the high end : a €5 wine on the list at €25 is indicative, and the location hardly justifies such a markup
This is a great place for fish. We had sole “linguado” and clams “ameijoas” . The dishes are served quickly. They were good portions and very tasty. The desserts are homemade and delicious.
Had been waiting 4 years to come back to Portugal and eat food like this again. It didn’t disappoint, one of the best meals of my life. If you like octopus go here straight away!
