North End Java Stop - Carolina Beach
North End Java Stop
Description
North End Cafe is a compact, family-run breakfast destination steps from Carolina Beach, famed for exceptional breakfast burritos, brioche and biscuit sandwiches, French toast and acai bowls. The broad coffee menu — including icy picks and alternative milks — pairs well with a small market and beer selection for beach days. Friendly counter service and a cozy, casual vibe make it ideal for walk-up visits, though limited indoor seating can mean waits during busy times.

We visited the area yesterday for an overnight stay and used Google to find the top local breakfast spots. I have to say, we're thrilled that we chose North End Cafe! Without a doubt, it served one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever tasted. My daughter also enjoyed her French toast!
The best açaí bowl and great coffee! Can’t wait to visit again! My fiancé got a breakfast burrito and it tasted incredible. We highly recommend and convenient walk from north part of Carolina Beach. This place has absolutely everything you need to enjoy an entire day at the beach.
An awesome spot to walk to and order breakfast. The iced coffee was delicious and they had many alternative milk options which is much appreciated! I ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich and my husband ordered the biscuit breakfast sandwich...we both agree our sandwiches were very good! There's a small market area where you can pick up a variety of beverages, beers, or a small selection of food. We were able to sit outside on the little bench outside the cafe before heading back.
Breakfast sandwich large and fulfill. Great. French toast (3 slices) and bacon, 50% shared with “really like” and “not a fan of bread.” Coffee gets big smiles and 2-thumbs from the drinkers. Overall, super happy and will be back!
The breakfast sandwiches were decent as well. I particularly enjoyed the brioche version, as the combination of traditional sandwich ingredients (meat, egg, and melted cheddar) paired wonderfully with the sweetness of the brioche. The biscuit version was also great, while the bagel option was just okay. I'm a fan of black coffee, so I didn't pay much attention to the extensive coffee menu, but it seemed to have something for everyone. You'll likely find something you'll enjoy, even if you're not sure what you want. The iced black coffee wasn’t anything special, but I can’t complain. The layout of the restaurant is a bit cramped, so if you're going with a larger group, it might be better to have some people wait outside since the interior can’t accommodate many at once. However, it’s a small place, so that’s to be expected. The staff member at the counter was cheerful and friendly, and I didn’t have to wait long for my food. Be prepared for the occasional wait if you visit during busy times, but I still highly recommend this place!
