an alpine bar and restaurant in the heart of canberra. love the circular open fire, give them a cozy atmosphere. or they can watch sport on the big screen. otherwise they sit or stand outside and enjoy the fresh air. a place that has different options and all of them mix together. great local beer and a high-end powder menu make this a very popular look for local and visitors alike. The place to go when nothing else is open. Or you just don't care....because they really don't seem to. Expensive refurb notwithstanding this is a place where coffee is the best bet. View all feedback.
We were at a reception at Parliament House, expecting dinner, but not receiving it, so off we went to Ostani with recommendations. We had no problems finding a table for six without notice and were served pretty quickly with our beverages. The good arrived quickly, was well presented and the young waitress remembered where all orders belonged. A good skill. Six different meals, and everyone was happy with the food and the portion size. The cost was mid range and a return visit will be on the cards.
Staying at Burbury and Sunday night when nothing much is opened tried Ostani out. Was not cheap but was okay. Cocktails were good. Pizza (despite being ordered with kids) had heaps of chilli on it ..... were a little lapse on service for what we paid I feel.
Operating like a British Pub, the bar side of the venue has you order and pay at the bar and receive notification that your food order is ready through a pager. Several beers on tap, better selection of pub food than many pubs - wide range of pizzas - and decent quality.
I stayed at the Little National Hotel across the road and decided to have dinner here. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. It was a fun Friday night vibe. The staff were so helpful and friendly even though it did look like a stressful evening. I would definitely return here! The lamb dish was delicious.
This is a cozy spot in Barton for drinks and dining. The pizzas are delicious, and there’s a great variety of cocktails and sparkling drinks. You can now conveniently order and pay directly at your table using your smartphone. The staff is friendly, and there’s an underground parking lot available.
