I previously stayed at this restaurant with my mother, and while it was not without its flaws (the fridge broke during our summer trip, noisy guests in the neighboring cabin playing instruments, dogs roaming freely from their leashes), the cabin itself was still comfortable. We had hoped that the issues with cleanliness and maintenance had been addressed since our last visit, but unfortunately, they had not improved. The cabin was dirty upon arrival, with hair and dead insects scattered around, along with cobwebs in various corners. Despite promises from the staff to refund our cleaning fee due to the poor condition of the cabin, this did not happen, leading us to feel misled. In addition to the cleanliness issues, the sprinkler system near our window went off every night at 1:30 a.m., disrupting our sleep. The refrigerator and water heater were also extremely loud, even after we had not used hot water for hours. The TV remotes had no batteries and did not function properly, and we had to address a running toilet ourselves late at night. The stairs were uneven and potentially hazardous, as they led to a cave. The lack of privacy between cabins was also a concern, as they were all close together and easily overlooked by passersby. While the cabins may have been charming at one point, the lack of maintenance over the years has led to a decline in overall quality. I would not recommend staying here, as it is not worth the high price of $400 per night.

Yesterday, Logan was extremely helpful when we made a request. He saved the day by providing us with a socket wrench that we needed. Logan keeps the restaurant spotless and his service to others was evident as we observed him helping someone in the parking lot. He also maintains the grounds impeccably and has a positive attitude. We enjoyed our brief visit and will definitely return in the future.
This is the pet place to go if you to unplug, literally and figuratively, for a few days. The cabins are well-maintained and the caretakers think of everything. Ted walked us to the cabin and had the ceiling fan on to help with the high temps. The river is right out the back door and the area is quiet, beautiful, and relaxing. We are excited to go back again soon.
