The restaurant is set in a beautiful location overlooking the Sant Antoni beach onto the Mediterranean. I had lunch using the local menu del Dia which was terrific value for a three course lunch, bottled water, a glass of wine and a coffee cortado). As it was sunny but there was a chill wind it was good to be inside the restaurant. Braver souls did sit outside. The service was very good and the restaurant was busy but friendly with a mixture of business people, tourists and retirees!
This restaurant made me feel very uncomfortable and i definitely will not come back. I ordered a fideua for one person and they made me wait 30 minutes after i asked where is the fideua. My partner was eating alone something else and then i had to eat alone too. At the end after all the waiting they made it for 2 persons and i said it is wrong. They were annoyed, you could see it for how they spoke to me and not flexible. It was not even good and i ate this dish in a lot of places. We had to ask for the bild 3 times. The worst for me was the actitude of the waiter as she was annoyed with me and not professional.
I didn't think there might be such awesome cafes by the beach like Mundet! The food was great, beautifully served. The personnel was so friendly, warm-hearted! A huge surprising bonus pretty low prices. 100% recommended!
We were a bit hesitant to book, given some adverse comments on here about the service. Given that the restaurant is often packed, and the menu looked inviting, we booked and dined there last night. It was practically faultless. It’s not possible to specify a table on the terrace so I booked for 9pm and when we turned up there was indeed a table available on the terrace. The service was efficient without being overly fast. Plenty of choice, particularly of seafood but also steak, duck, chicken..... all we ate was superb. The wine red wine list was slightly depleted not sure whether this had anything to do with the pandemic...? but clearly all wines on the list were usually available. We paid €80 for two starters, mains, desserts, water, a bottle of red €16 though they range from €8 and coffee. Smiling service, beautiful seafront location. Highly recommended. We’d go again for sure. PS right now, like some other places, the menu is available via a QR code scan, so be sure to take your phone/tablet!
The restaurant is situated in a lovely setting close to the Sant Antoni beach and the promenade to Palamós. The restaurant is popular and having experienced it once, for dinner, we tried to return a few days later for lunch but it was too busy. The food is very good and we had two courses and then shared a desert. Everything was cooked well and was served promptly. The staff were very friendly. The food is traditional Catalan food and the fish in particular was delicious.
