Buffos, nestled on the second floor of Saks Fifth Ave in Chinook Mall, offers a charming ambiance that blends modern and classic decor, creating a comfortable dining experience. While service is generally attentive, room placement can sometimes feel isolating. The menu features standout dishes like mushroom gnocchi and Mortadella pizza, though consistency varies; diners have noted inconsistencies in seasoning and temperature across other offerings like the carbonara and bruschetta. Despite a few critiques regarding food execution and noise levels, many guests appreciate the delightful flavors and the restaurant’s overall inviting atmosphere, making it a worthwhile visit for Italian cuisine enthusiasts.
The attentive service, lack of crowds, and exceptional food provided a delightful retreat from the busy city streets and summer heat. Make sure to indulge in the delicious in-house pasta and Buffo bread. Our group also enjoyed dishes like chicken parmigiana, gnocchi, calamari appetizer, and more. Everyone was satisfied with their choices! Although the restaurant is not located in the trendy downtown area but rather outside of a mall, do not let that deter you from experiencing a fantastic meal!
We had a great time at this restaurant for dinner. The staff was attentive and helpful, providing suggestions and recommending their favorite dishes. Our drinks were regularly refilled and our plates cleared promptly.
The room is beautiful. Had great service. The food is awful. Even the cappuccino was bad. It just feels like it’s fake fancy. Or the Emperor has no clothes. Disappointing.
On a cool October Saturday my husband and I were running errands and thinking of a nearby place to have pizza. Very fortunately for both of us Buffo Ristorante was not only open but also very quiet on this particular day! The service was prompt, friendlyand professional. If I ever choose to trade out my everyday china I will want to replicate what Buffo uses for their charmingand decorative dishes. The wine selection was perfect for our needs and when our Napoletano-Styled pizza arrived, completewith Italian pepperoni, Fior di Latte, our request for additional Prosciutto cotto and topped with arugula we were deeplyimpressed. As we ate, we both said, This is better pizza than we have had in a number of pizzerias in Italy itself.
We ordered the olives (so good, they had hot peppers and citrus juice with a small bowl of potato chips on the side) and garlic nuts (fresh made bread) from happy hour menu. Also shared a Caesar salad and we each got a pasta; the fettuccini and the penneon rose sauce. The best part of our experience was the amazing service we got from Venize. We want to come back to try thepizza, which we hear was good.
