Reservations may not guarantee ideal seating, as some reported being placed in less desirable spots. However, the incredible service and occasional culinary highlights, such as the porterhouse for two and delightful amuse-bouche, suggest this spot is worth a visit. I've dined at the Renfrew location several times over the years and was excited to check out their new second location. My friend and I enjoy oysters, so we made sure to visit on a Monday for the 2-for-1 deal. They were fresh as always, and we really appreciate the sauces they serve with them. My husband ordered the lunch special for $30, which included broccoli soup, a prime rib sandwich, and a lemon tart. Given the current restaurant prices, this was a good value. However, he noted that half of the sandwich meat was chewy, while the other half was nice and tender. The two of us opted for fish tacos, which we've had before. They were still tasty, although they were a bit spicy for our liking. We also enjoyed a nice selection of wines; I had Italian Pinot Grigio, and my friend chose Italian Cabernet Sauvignon. The staff was friendly, and the service was excellent. The underground parking was a bit tricky due to a pole in the middle of one lane, so we plan to look for street parking next time. Overall, we had a good experience and look forward to returning, especially to enjoy the patio seating.
I started with the seafood arancini, which had a wonderful texture and flavor. It paired perfectly with the marinara sauce and the greens and radishes. For my main course, I chose the duck, and for dessert, I enjoyed the crème brûlée—both were exceptional. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, with a lively energy that kept the atmosphere enjoyable without being too loud for conversation.

We ordered seafood and steaks. I had the seafood linguini, but it wasn’t very enjoyable — the sauce tasted too acidic and sweet, almost like something from a jar rather than freshly made. I didn’t try the steak myself, though no one at our table seemed impressed with theirs either. On the bright side, the service was friendly and attentive, and the cocktails were excellent. Overall, it feels like a place with potential if the kitchen focused more on fresh, balanced flavors.
