We ate here Saturday night for my birthday... Red chilli has restored my faith in Indian restaurants. The food came out as it should spiced correctly and seasoned to perfection. The staff were friendly and attentive. We need to work out a way to deliver to Cyprus. The food was piping hot but the starter and main meal was unfortunately very salty. Shame as the food looked stunning. The restaurant was also quite cold. Shame as there are no more sit down Indian restaurants left in Blackwood. View all feedback.
We had a takeaway delivered. It took an hour to arrive. Which took way to long and was warm. When I dished it up I was very disappointed. We ordered 2 curry's and was all sauce. There was 8 pieces of lamb in one curry and not much chicken in the other. Was our first and last time we would use them. It's not as thought it was cheap, but should get what you pay for.
Had a takeaway, ordered online, paid. Meal picked up by family.... Turns out the order was a main meal short !! Not a first that the order has been incomplete, rang up and they delivered the dish about 40 minutes later so I was eating on my own. Disgraceful...they need to think a lot more about what they are doing rather than not caring after they have received the money. Will be trying another Indian takeaway from now on...they have had enough chances..
Takeaway late delivery due to issues with another drivers car but friendly and polite delivery lady. King Prawn Bhuna was very good and tasty with a good measure of prawns:sauce although it was slightly sweet so might have had some sugar added not sure but if sugar is an issue then watch out for that one. The Vindaloo sauce was good. The Onion Bhajis were dry and hard the sort that could break teeth. Binned. The tandoori chicken was nicely spiced, but extremely dry. The Sag Paneer was too watery for my liking, and the cheese looked translucent. The Parotha was very poor very dark and stale which was odd and I ended up discarding most of it to the bin. I have had a nan bread previously which to be fair was very good so not sure what happened with the Parotha.
I ordered from this takeaway for the first time, it wasn't good value for money, the onion bhajis were hard, the remainder of the meal wasn't warm, I have had better nan breads elsewhere, quite disappointed. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2 Service: 3
