Tried this local restaurant for the first time last night. The pizzas, salad and bruschetta were amazing. Really fresh and tasty thin style pizza. Yum. But best of all they deliver in a reasonable timeframe to PDF, QDM and QEV!!!Possibly the best thing to happen in the 16 years we've owned a house here!We will definitely be ordering from them again. Have been coming to Budens for 20 years and this tiny restaurant has had many incarnations. Now an Italian pizza restaurant only dealing in pizza. Staff very friendly and attentive. Pizzas freshly cooked and delicious. My wife and I ordered two different pizzas for main and they took ages to come. I mean over 45 min. It was ok as we were on our own and we're happily enjoying our wine. If we had had the kids with us then it would have been far too long to wait. Also they got my order wrong in that I had added extra toppings to the standard pizza and they forgot them!It's those little things that detract from 5 stars and make tiny little restaurants from being successful and staying open. I hope these things improve and I look forward to taking the kids next time we are back in Budens
The best pizza in the area by far. We were staying in Raposeira/next town and happily drove here for the real deal on the recommendation of a friend. Then we find out that they are the only pizza place that does delivery! Good to know for our next visit, especially good if you are vacationing with kids and tired from a day at the beach. Just get delivery! Anyway.. The spicy sausage is to die for! And there are many other toppings making the decision of what to get tough. Luckily we had a sizable group to taste several and they were all excellent. The crust is thin and perfect, every topping fresh and authentic, lovely marinara, perfect amount of cheese. As for desert...Sergio is from Sicily and has the cannoli pastry shells flown in from Sicily!!! That's dedication. You have to get the cannoli after you hear that. And it's really good. The wait staff is also charming and attentive. You'll be craving this pizza long after you are back home.
We have just eaten an excellent bruschetta follewd by excellent pizza. We were pointed to the cannoli scicillian ( maybe spelt incorrectly). Accompanied by a special bottle of dry white wine. Good luck Kathleen in this venture. We will recommend the restaurant. Takeaway also available.
