What Konstantinos V dislikes about Alt Shift:
Very nice restaurant with value for money dishes. The food is not something exquisite, but very decent portions and nice prices. The atmosphere is very urban and new age for Bucharest terms. You should better book a table, as you may not find a free table. The steak i tried was really nice. The pasta was not that good. The soup was quite tasty. The rice we took as a side dish was really good, but a bit overboiled. View all feedback.
Best pasta in Bucharest! (The truffles cream shrimp pasta are DIVINE) Large portions, fresh and tasty. Fast serving. Totally reccomend it!
Best Lefkada Shrimps (are a bit sharp 450 grams per serving and best green Tagliatelle with salmon 700 grams per serving my special request for the green Tagliatelle is to add some dry tomatoes; and they always amazing taste with this mix; the soups are also very good and their deserts too; the atmosphere is beautiful, beautiful people come around, the music is good and the food, good big portions.
A place that is specific to a certain crowd, younger, free willing and to put it in a raw translation more expensive. We could barely recognize the waiters from everyone else, since most patrons wore black shirts, and it took a while to get a hold of a waiter, but by the time we did order and the time we got served, 3 other waiters must have asked us if we were ready. I guess it happens when you don 't have a menu and you rely on a QR code... you never know if a person has ordered. Closed menu/No menu means order is taken. We were told that the table we were seated at was only available for one hour since after it was booked, that would have been enough time to eat, if the food arrived in time. It took over 30 minutes for it to get to our tables and we almost 'overstayed ' our welcome. Fortunately, no one said anything in that regard. The food was great, no complaints there. We had a meal of tomahawk chop (pork) with seasoned wedges and a small salad, and fish and chips with tartar sauce. The chops were grilled nicely, well done and the wedges had a nice parmesan flavor. Filling and tasty. Overall, it was a good experience after we had a good walk in the city center. Prices were a bit high, but it comes with the area.
The place is okay. The food is okay. The service is okay. No. The service is good. Everything else is quite average. The portions are quite big. And bland. The choice of dishes is all over the place: Romanian, Levantine, French. I was expecting something more. The place is clean. Yet, looking at the pictures, I was certain I am going to see the murals. One hour there and I started wondering: where are the murals? Right there! Only they have faded away. And, like most reviewers, I was rather put off by the digital menu. As an added bonus, the QR code is wonderful. As an only option, how to put it? I wouldn't bring grandma there. Which should be obvious given the steep stairs. I ordered my favourite drink an espresso Martini, but the drink didn't even taste like coffee, nor like alcohol. The pasta that we ordered came after one hour and a half later, even though the restaurant was far from crowded! Knowing this place is popular for good pasta, I was completely disappointed with the dish! The service was acceptable but very chaotic we had in total 4 waiters one more irresponsible than the other: one came when we had our glasses full to ask us if we wanted something to drink, the other came in the end with the check half ripped apart.
