Nestled in Greenpoint, this charming coffeehouse offers an inviting atmosphere with its eclectic decor and airy open layout. Patrons rave about the Rocket Fuel—an invigorating cold brew with maple syrup—but experiences with food can be hit-or-miss. While the coffee quality is consistently praised, some dishes, like the gluten-free pumpkin bread and vegan BLT, have left customers disappointed. Service appears to be a mixed bag, with some enjoying friendly interactions while others faced challenges. Overall, this spot serves up great coffee and a cozy vibe, making it a popular choice for locals and visitors alike.

Was Anonym at Sweetleaf a mag?
The music was a nice blend—soft, catchy, and laid-back. You can’t go wrong with Bob Marley to start the day. The Egg and Bacon sandwich on an everything bagel was amazing. The eggs were incredibly fluffy, and the sandwich was bursting with flavor. There was plenty to look at as well. I ended up going back two days in a row because work brought me there. What Becky T dislikes about Sweetleaf:
The venue is awesome. Had rocket fuel which was ok although it tested more like a sweetened iced coffee for $6.26. However, I 'm a bit disappointed that the gluten free pumpkin bread/cake is stone dry not to mention the bad customer service! The barista didn 't want to warm it for me, so I tried to eat it cold, and couldn 't finish it since it was too dry . I don 't know why they refuse to warm your pastry when you a... I visited based on a recommendation from the New York City Cafe Passport, and I'm glad I did! The coffee was delightful. We tried an Americano, a pumpkin latte, a maple latte, and their rocket fuel hot coffee, all of which were bold, full-bodied, and delicious. They roast the beans on-site and offer homemade syrups along with decaf options. This place is definitely worth a visit, even if it requires a little extra effort to get there. There’s plenty of seating, making it perfect for catching up with friends, reading, or getting some work done.
The sign is spot on—I visited for the Rocket Fuel, and it did not disappoint! This concentrated cold brew, paired with Vermont maple syrup, was absolutely delicious on a hot summer day. The ambiance of the place is eclectic, featuring a spacious garage-like environment with brick walls, high ceilings, and an assortment of chairs, sofas, benches, and tables to choose from. The fun music also added to the vibe, really sparking my creativity. I’ve found my new favorite work café; I feel cooler just for having spent some time here. It's definitely awesome!
Really great place to stop by for breakfast sandwiches! We ordered the chicken wrap and the OG egg sandwich. Both amazing, can’t recommend enough! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The coffee and atmosphere are cool, but I can't give a positive review because the barista overcharged two customers in a row with no compensation. The woman in front of me was charged for iced and had to correct the barista, I was charged a latte price for a cappuccino. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5
