We stumbled across this place on our day of shopping in Brooklyn. What a find! A cosy little restaurant selling authentic Italian pizza and salads. I had Calzone, what a dish! full of flavour that came with a nice tomato sauce dip. The beer was great too, a top notch local Pilsner. Go check it out.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie pizza and salad options.Dietary restrictions: They do gluten free pizza bases too. View all feedback.
What Sunny S dislikes about Public Display Of Affection:
I've had PDA several times. Their pizza started out excellent but has declined in quality in recent months the white pizza is now soggy in the middle with a brittle crust around the edge, and the veggie pizza hardly has any veggies, with just tiny pieces of chopped up broccoli stems and a couple mushrooms. Not sure what changed but I've given them two recent attempts and have been disappointed both times. Hope they c... View all feedback.
Fun great spot. Walked in, no reservations and they took us right away. Service with a smile and quick.Pizza was delicious.
Public Display of Affection is an accurate name for this place. It’s so beyond delicious, I fell in love. We got a cheese calzone (the crust is to die for) and a tomato and mushroom specialty pizza. The flavors were perfect together. They were also accommodating when I needed to swap one of the toppings for something else, due to an allergy. Great vegetarian options too!
We had a summer pizza, broccoli, tomatoes, kale caesar salad and some cocktails. None of these were particularly good, better options are available nearby.
Very cute, charming spot. We had brunch—the PDA eggs which come with a salad and delicious bread baked on the premises. It’s a small place, and the service is friendly and laid back. I will definitely be back to try the pizza!
Pros: Friendly staff, tasty food Cons: the music is WAY too loud, it’s impossible to have a conversation unless you yell, totally killed my vibe and me and my date headed elsewhere where we could talk over dinner. This also causes every table around you to have people yelling over each other. A big headache. Also, VERY pricey $19/ glass of wine)
