What Jamie R dislikes about Mark's Bread:
The only reason I keep returning to Mark’s Bread is the food, because the sandwiches are pretty great. Unfortunately, though, that’s where the praise ends. The service is consistently awkward at best, and rude at worst. There’s a weird smugness in how they inform you they’re out of something, and asking for a sandwich to be made from their own menu somehow feels like an imposition. I understand working in the service... View all feedback.

I was pleased to discover a freshly made, large, and delicious vegan sandwich at this restaurant. It was not only nutritious but also filling, served on what appeared to be whole grain bread. Along with a complimentary glass of water, it was exactly what I wanted for lunch. The plate in the photo is quite big, and the sandwich is larger than it appears. They offer three types of sandwiches daily: a vegan option, a vegetarian one, and a meat sandwich. There are also other food choices available, though I didn’t explore those. The atmosphere is lovely, with a warm wooden decor, and the prices are reasonable.
The staff here are wonderfully friendly. I tried the vegan spinach, mushroom, and almond sausage roll, and it was absolutely delicious! They also offered oat milk for my coffee, which was a nice touch. Additionally, there were a few sweet pastry options available.
Delicious build your own sandwiches for about £6, with a huge variety of fillings and breads. Be aware that they get busy and service can be a bit slow. Service: Dine in Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
