Feedback
The reviews for the restaurant at QAG showcase a mixed experience for diners. While some enjoyed the friendly staff and unique menu offerings, others were disappointed by the quality of the food and service. The cafe is praised for its house-made dishes and prompt service, but some customers were put off by issues such as overpowering flavors in dishes and slow table clearing. Overall, the venue seems to offer a pleasant dining experience with room for improvement in certain areas.
Clean reasonable value. Visited with interstate relatives for lunch and although the menu isn't extensive, the food was good and came out in a timely manner. The prices are quite reasonable when you consider the outlook, the beautiful water features, which help keep the kiddies out of this particular cafe at the Art Gallery. Our burgers were served on bread boards (a very annoying trend in cafes) but they were freshly prepared and well cooked. The chips were good too. Staff are a bit slow to clear the tables and clean up after diners, but are pleasant enough and will do it if you ask. Coffee is nice and hot. Nothing really to fault this venue apart from the unappetising desserts; very plastic and stale looking.
A surprising option in the QPAC complex serving casual meals at 'not terrible ' prices considering the area it is situated in. The Steak Sandwich was great. Tender steak and the onion jam added a nice balance to the dish.
Great piccolo coffee, delicious fresh made gourmet rolls and sandwiches reasonably priced and lovely outdoor sitting areas......awesome spot*
Cute little cafe. Brilliant service. Had the apple and rhubarb pie as recommended by a friend. Yum! Sweet shortcrust pastry just like my grandma used to make : tea was lovely and friends enjoyed their coffees (don't drink coffee, but they liked theirs . Really nice serene and quiet surroundings outside with the trees and the water feature, and little friends come to visit too!
