The restaurant received mixed reviews, with some customers disappointed in the food and service, while others had a fantastic dining experience. We will definitely be coming back as we truly enjoyed both the food and drinks at Mcgettigan's. The bar staff were excellent—friendly, attentive, and especially helpful with my toddler. The cocktails were fantastic, and the food arrived promptly. While there were occasional long waits for drinks, that seems to be common everywhere. I have no complaints; the desserts were delicious, and there were plenty of options for me as a non-meat eater. They even kindly prepared bottles of milk for me, which I really appreciated. Thank you for making us feel so welcome—we had a wonderful experience dining there for both dinner and lunch over the two nights.
Connected to the hotel in the town of Bray, within walking distance of the beach and a variety of charming bars, restaurants, and cafes. The food and cocktails were excellent.
It was our first night out all year, and despite the COVID restrictions, the staff made our evening unforgettable. The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. Lauren and the team were amazing and wowed us with their espresso martinis. Highly recommend!
First of all, the service is fantastic. The waiter was incredibly kind and charming, making playful jokes like, "I caught your fish fresh from the sea," and "I picked the seashells at the beach just for you." I definitely recommend visiting this place.
McGettigan's is a fantastic place to relax with a quiet drink and receive outstanding service.
